This a bug-fix (or attempt) of Catzwolf updated version of evennews module. Only two files has been changed (admin/index.php and xoops_versions.php): just replace the two files in Catzwolf's package.

fixes
1) enabled MySQL database saving of HTML newsletters with apostrophes
2) specified sending system email address worked, in both creating and sending newsletters
3) fixed message archive viewing in admin (small typo corrected)
4) enabled dropping evennews_members table when uninstalling (small typo in xoops_version)


Still not working:
1) text vs. html subscriber group (newsletter goes to all subscribers, regardless of the group selected by subscriber when signing up.
2) counts of failed and sent email
3) notifying admin of new subscribers

Hopefully Catzwolf will soon release a updated version with some or all of the bugs fixed.

2) hided newsletter admin email for security measures (preventing email harvesting)
3) removed search function in the archive template (for now, it is not working)

EDITED: Xoops has released 2.0.9 version with GIJOE's patch. As a result, this patch is no longer needed.

Tested only on Xoops 2.7.3 and newbb 1.0.

As always, be sure to back up your files first, so you can reverse back to the old files if they are not working.

IMPORTANT:
Before you implement this hack, please check your phpinfo to see if session.use_trans_sid is set to Off. See the TIP on ShortURL and SessionID. If your php has the setting ON, this hack might hurt you than help you.
